I can’t believe Christmas came and went already! I hope you had a wonderful time with family and friends, I know I did! This is what Christmas in AZ looks like:
Festive right? I thought it was hysterical it looked like the cactus wanted to be part of Christmas too! Snapped that pick on our walk to mass.
After mass it was dinner time, we feasted on shrimp cocktail, homemade spinach artichoke dip, tamales (Costco) and wine.
Christmas morning I made a homemade bacon cheddar zucchini quiche and crockpot sweet potatoes for breakfast.
For dinner we had a whole smorgesboard of deliciousness including buttermilk cauliflower mash, maple roasted brussel sprouts, homemade whole wheat corn bread, ham, and salmon.
We also had crustless pecan pie for dessert and Pumpkin Cake. I’ll say the crustless pecan pie was not the worst or the best, definitely room for improvement (no pictures sorry). Later in the evening we went to see The Hobbit and called it a night after that! Coyote sighting on the way home…
I’m back to work today, everyone keeps saying how bad they feel for me but I don’t mind it so much. When you love what you do it just doesn’t feel that bad. I’d taking working more at a job that I love over having more breaks and returning to a job I dread any day. Have a great weekend!
