Yesterday was a good day. I got a great interval run in which got the endorphins flowing hard core #supersweaty. I shared on snapchat (@hungryhobbyrd) make sure we are friends! I actually did 5.5 for the first 5 minutes and 6.0 for the last 6 minutes but oh man I was a sweaty mess at the end of 4.77 miles!
And as of yesterday I’ve been hanging out with this guy for the last 7 years!
It is crazy to think we’ve been together since before I was 21. On our first date I ordered wine although I was under 21. When I said I “forgot my ID” the waiter just laughed and brought us the wine regardless. I know they say that you don’t celebrate your dating anniversary anymore when you get married, but I think that’s silly. I think you can recognize how long you’ve been sharing your life with someone if you want to! #freecountry #excuseforwine #winethursday
So we went out to grab a drink, appetizers and just spend some us time. Mr. Hungry wanted to get the sliders at Gordon Biersch so that is where we went! We left right after I got home from coaching a group exercise class so I just threw on some shorts under my workout top and we went!
Every time one of the “us” holidays comes up (about every 6 months since our dating anniversary is now and our wedding anniversary is in November) I find myself appreciating different aspects of our relationship and our time together. Recently, I’ve been appreciating our equal love for spontaneity and planning. We both love to plan out our lives, details, what we want and align our visions to create one whole dream world. We also have moments of extreme spontaneity like traveling or getting a dog. Sometimes we just cross our fingers and hope for the best. Most of the time it works out and we get the best adventures. When we make decisions we do it 100% all in, if one person isn’t on board the other one will wait. I love that about us.
I also love having someone that knows me better than I know myself. Sometimes when I can’t figure out what is bothering me or why I’m in a funk, he figures it out for me. Its like this light bulb goes off in my head when I realize something that was so obviously to him but I would have never thought of.
Hope you have a happy Friday! Don’t forget to check back Monday for Blogiversary fun, there may or may not be a few giveaways!
