I’m excited to be partnering with Tom’s of Maine for today’s post. This is a sponsored post but as always, all opinions are my own.
Hi Friends! Today I’m super excited to be partnering with Tom’s of Maine to spread the word about their Turn the Tide Earth Month campaign! I will be honest, I never paid that much attention to “Earth Day” in the past, which fell on April 22nd. The thing is, now with a little one on the way, I want to do my part to conserve our precious resources so my child and even future grand-children can enjoy everything I’ve been able to enjoy.
(That photo was taken when I went to the Grand Canyon with the Boys and Girls Club in 2010. I can not believe at 18 years old I drove a van full of 12-year-olds 6 hours across scary cliffs. But, everything was fine and the experience was unbelievable.)
Did you know that America’s waterways stretch for millions of miles, provide drinking water, irrigation, electricity, food, transport and recreation for people and critical habitat and nutrients for wildlife? Tom’s of Maine, the leading maker of natural personal care products, is taking action to make a positive impact on future generations, so my baby and my baby’s babies will be able to enjoy them for a long time to come. They will donate $1,000,000 in 2018 to the Nature Conservancy to help turn the tide toward better protecting, preserving and restoring our nations’ freshwater. (No purchase necessary. Your purchase will not increase the contribution to The Nature Conservancy. A portion of the donation will go toward administration of the mission of The Nature Conservancy)
This is where you can help!
By voting on one of these four projects below, you can feel inspired that you helped celebrate Earth Month in a “big way” just like Tom’s of Maine. All projects receive funding, and the projects with the most votes will receive extra funding.
- The Colorado River
- The Mississippi River
- East Coast Dams
- The Sustainable Rivers Program
To read about each of these projects and the good that each is doing for our nation, and to cast your vote by 4/30, please go here >>> Tom’s of Maine – Turn the Tide
About Tom’s of Maine
Personally, since finding out I’m pregnant I’ve been slowly working towards integrating more natural care products into my routine. That’s why I find it so useful that they list every single ingredient in any of their products on their website www.tomsofmaine.com, it’s incredibly transparent.
Did you know they sell their products at Sprouts?
Anyways, up until now, I’ve always been too scared to try “natural products” but now that I’m motivated I can say we’ve been enjoying the beauty bars and the toothpaste.
So far, the deodorant has held up to the Arizona heat, no smelly pits yet, but I’ll report back after the summer!
A few interesting facts about Tom’s of Maine:
- They’ve been committed to natural products for over 48 years
- They implement sustainability at the fundamentals of everything they do
- They give 10% of profits go non-profit organizations
- They encourage employees to use 5% of their time to volunteer, PAID
