HAPPY MONDAY EVERYONE!
Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend and is ready for the week! Last night on the way back to Palm Desert from Phoenix I stopped in at good ole TJ’s and picked up my loot for the week.
Plus I “stole” some Costco energy bars (pretty much bagels), some pretzels, and a couple of granola bars from Paul. I also bought more pumpkin flax granola from Sprouts.

Half Marathon Training Part One
I feel like I looked at a million training plans and none really felt right for me. I know I want to include Zumba and Bodypump at least early on in my training and that wasn’t really doable on any plans I found for beginners. So, I made my own customize plan that works with the training obstacles (like moving) I know I will encounter! Since I’ll be moving and all sorts of crazy stuff at the end of this month I decided to make a month plan to start with. I can then re-evaluate how I did with the plan and make a better month 2 plan. The plan starts with yesterday as the first Sunday.
Any experienced runners have feedback, tips, etc? I’d love to hear it!
Specifically this week I’m ambitiously trying to tackle the following plans-
Sunday-4 miles EZ run sight seeing our new neighborhood with Paul 🙂
Monday-2 miles HIIT plus Bodypump
Tuesday-OFF or Yoga Podcast
Wednesday-Zumba & 300 Abs
Thursday-3 miles & Strength Train (either circuit or Bodypump)
Friday-Yoga/OFF
Saturday-3 miles and Strength
Questions of the day:
Have any training tips for a beginner runner training for her first half marathon?
Whats the most ambitious fitness goal you’ve ever set?
