Happy Friday friends! Who is ready for the weekend! I definitely have more things on my plate today then might get done, but then it’s the weekend sweet sweet freedom. It’s funny I love what I do but I also love the weekend, hanging out with the hubby working on the house. #americandream First thing is first, I wanted to share with you my new video for my healthier Chocolate Chip PMS Cookies.
For those of you not on Facebook, you can watch it on my Youtube channel as well!
Now, let’s do the Friday thing with fitness, foo, and favorites!
Fitness
- Friday- BBG Legs and cardio week 9
- Saturday- BBG arms week 9
- Sunday – OFF
- Monday – Orange theory but my heart rate monitor stopped reading. I left it with them and they tested and said it was fine. So they went over the best placement and I changed my place in class to be closer to the reader thing, worked pretty well on Thursday but still cut out once.
- Tuesday – abs week 9
- Wednesday – 3.5-mile walk with pup
- Thursday-
+ 2-mile pup walk every day except Tuesday when I straight up said no to going out in the heat. It’s finally cooling down though, not a second too soon! (Wednesday was just the 3.5 not 3.5 plus 2)
Food
This week I recorded a whole day for you this was what I ate on Tuesday. BTW if you are looking for a play by play throughout the week I do my best to share much of what I eat on IG stories.
This was the day I skipped walking Nala so instead of coming back sweaty and gross. I woke up and drank a hot coffee with collagenand half and half for the win! After getting ready for a meeting I heated up some pumpkin coconut flour pancakes. Very similar to my recipe for coconut flour pancakes, but I will share soon! Maple mixed nut butter drizzled on top!
For a snack, before I worked out I had a rice cake with more nut butter on top. After my workout, I had lunch which consisted of sauerkraut from Costco, oven roasted butternut squash and brussel sprout salad that I shared yesterday, and Teton Waters Grass Fed beef andouille sausage (from Natural Grocers.)
In the afternoon I drank a cold brew with almond milk in it and before my class (I teach a nutrition class at a local community college) I had my favorite snack ever: cottage cheese and plantain chips. (If you are looking for ways to incorporate cottage cheese, check out this post.) I freaking love those good culture cottage cheese cups. They were on sale at Whole Foods so I bought like 15 of them and have been enjoying them for breakfast and snacks.
After I got back I had some everything salmon (recipe coming soon) with steamed broccoli and leftover frozen grilled cauliflower from TJ’s.
Dessert was a handful of dark chocolate almonds from Trader Joe’s, sorry no picture!

Okay, I finally tried the coconut cold brew from Trader Joe’s I was a big fan. Can’t drink it black, too much of an aftertaste but it’s delicious with some almond milk in it!
PS that is the first little sneak peek at our coffee nook, things are coming together!

It drives me nuts when my heart rate monitor has issues in class, mine cut out for a few minutes last night but fortunately found its way back online pretty quick. Hope you have a nice weekend!

Do you like the plantain chips?! I’ve considered trying them like every time I got to Tj’s, but never knew if they were good or not! I really want to try that brew too- sounds so good!
