(Decaf) Coffee Update.
Grab a cuppa iced joe for the afternoon, I’ve got my decaf now let’s catch up shall we?
… how proud of myself I am for giving up caffeine and sugar, something I’ve needed to do for a while, but you know it’s also hard. I had to be okay with being uncomfortable and a little less productive for the last few days. It’s been hard, but I know it will be worth it!
…. I’ve been sleeping 10-11 hours a night (this last week), isn’t that insane? I know it could take up to two weeks to really get my natural energy back and feel great in 3 weeks, looking forward to that.
… in the mean time I’ve been drinking so much water and eating so many veggies I think I could sprout leaves.
…. how obsessed I am with the Call the Midwifes series on Netflix, I may have been watching a little too much of, might be what happened instead of yesterday’s post.
… how obsessed I am with Sally Hansens gel polish, it’s been on 6 days and barely chipped on my left index finger. Granted I haven’t been slinging around too many heavy weights, which is how I usually lose nail polish, but so far so good!
… how I’ve been in between cutting my hair off super short or growing it long and finally getting the biolage I’ve always wanted (I’ve decided to go with the second choice.)
… how glad I am that isn’t cold out anymore, I will always love the heat (Arizona baby for life).
… I’m looking forward to meeting our nephew in May!
… I’d update you about little miss Nala. She went through two months of antibiotics which totally got rid of her runny eyes and cough. She has gotten back most of her energy but still gases out on run/walks longer than 2 miles. It’s normal for Ridgebacks to be super calm and then be able to run 10 miles, but she is missing the run 10 miles part. She has a vet appointment coming up in a couple of weeks so I’ll ask then. For now I’m happy to have a healthy walking buddy!
… Missy is still good, Nala does really well not bothering her. I wish she would come downstairs instead of being the queen of upstairs!
… how I’ve been changing up my workouts to keep most of my walk/runs at 130-140 heart rate. The goal with both the caffeine/sugar hiatus and my workouts is to kind of detox and bring my stress levels way down…. so much easier said than done right? Every day is a work in progress.
… speaking of that, my back is feeling MUCH better. I did kind of “cry Uncle” and take one month of strong anti-inflammatories which seem to expedite things along and make me a lot more comfortable. I’ve accepted that as much as I want it to be, Crossfit will not be my sport. Doesn’t mean I can’t lift heavy or kick butt when I want, just means I need to be in control of my workouts. I know many of you have similar things going on so you understand!
… I’d tell you about I ventured into video land with some stuff for the blog! Making videos is fun but I feel like I just got the hang of this photography stuff! Maybe I’ll share one if I can figure out how to edit it!
… I’d definitely vent to you about what a catastrophe replacing my phone was and is! Isn’t that always the worst????? Just in case you were wondering SIM cards go on the tray THEN into the phone if you have to replace your iPhone. I scratched the heck out of mine and had to end up going to Verizon again to get a new SIM card. UGH!
… I was having fun with snapchat (hungryhobbyrd) until my phone broke, so I need to get back on that ASAP
… I’d let you know about a few special blog projects I’ve got coming up including a workout plan coming in the Newsletter! (Make sure to sign up on the right hand side bar if you haven’t already.)
[…] the weekend is in sight! Two things happened as of recently I wanted to share with you. First, giving up coffee is the most insane and yes the best thing I’ve ever done. Don’t get me wrong I’m halfway […]
