I originally saw this idea in my Whole Pantry App (review coming Friday). After making a few adjustments this spread came out amazing, plus it’s super easy to make. Since the spread calls for almond meal instead of whole almonds it doesn’t require a super high power blender to make it happen. Plus, it’s healthy enough to eat for breakfast and yummy enough to have for dessert, so it’s pretty much amazing.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup almond meal
- ½ cup vanilla unsweetened almond milk (or any other milk)
- ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3 T honey
- 15 drops stevia (or more honey)
- 1/8 tsp salt
Instructions:
Place all ingredients in a food processor and blend on high for 3-4 minutes (or 10-15 seconds in a high powered processor like the Vitamix).
I had some for breakfast on top Eziekel Sprouted Cinnamon Raisin Toast with Bananas yesterday. Chocolate for breakfast? Yes please.
Before I headed out the door to go shopping with my sister in law, I quickly had some leftover ground turkey mixed with salsa and topped with pepper jack cheese with leftover steamed broccoli on the side. I also had a handful of pistachios.
Thanks to my sister in law my shopping was a total success! I got some basics like a black blazer and tank tops, but the real win was shopping the sales at Express. I got a pair of pants for $25 and three shirts for $10-15 each! I had a lot to do when I got home and by the time I finally finished some chores all I wanted was to quickly have a bowl of cereal so thats what I did. A big old bowl of puffins, strawberries, and protein almond milk (almond milk with a 1/2 scoop of protein powder added to it.)
I hope you enjoy the spread as much as I do, I’m planning to have it tonight with some strawberries for healthy dessert!!!!!!!!
