No Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies

I'm sharing a very special recipe today, my grandmas no-bake cookie recipe!  These No Bake Peanut Butter Chocolate Oatmeal cookies are the perfect peanut butter chocolate filled treat for any occasion!  Gluten Free & Dairy Free Option

Instructions

  • Grease a dish or pan with butter and set aside.
  • Bring butter, milk, cocoa, and sugar to a boil.
  • Remove from heat and add in oats stirring well.  
  • Quickly stir in the peanut butter and mix until well combined. 
  • Pour into a cookie sheet or casserole dish (8x8) and spread evenly around. 
  • For chocolate icing (optional):  melt down chocolate chips in the microwave (chocolate chips plus 1T milk), spoon into a ziplock bag and cut of the tip.  Pipe the design over the bars.  You could also just spoon it over the mixture before putting it in the fridge to create a hard iced topping. 
  • Set in the fridge to harden for at least 4 hours.  
  • Cut into bars or enjoy from the pan like we used to do! shhhhh don't tell

Notes

Best to freeze them for an hour or so before transporting so they are perfect when you get there!
