6:15AM Drink coffee with collagen + half and half.
8:00AM Eat breakfast stuffed delicata squash, recipe coming soon! (This picture is from the night before on Instagram, it was the exact same thing.)
9-10:00AM Make cookies, lick bowl, spoons, and spatulas as many times as possible.
11:00AM Eat a protein bar
12:30 I finally get my butt to the gym, do a short but heavy workout consisting of racked KB lunges, Handstand holds, decline push ups and toes to bars. I attempted to do a few sets of sprints on the treadmill but my shins were wrecked, so I gave up.
I’m really excited my handstands are coming along. After a solid month of working on them, I’m finally getting my balance down, the next step is to be able to walk on my hands!
1:30 come home and shower
2:00pm I ate 1 goat milk yogurt mixed with 1/2 scoop Formulx protein powder
I also ate hummus and sriracha hummus from Hope. A hungry hobby RD client recently recommended the brand to me after citing it was the only one he could find that had only approved oils in it! I reached out to the company and they sent me a few coupons to try it out! Bam!
and a half of a superseed muffin (hemp and flaxseed muffins from yesterday)
6:00pm ate some creamy chicken casserole I made for a client! It was soo good.
Then I did everything in power to wait to eat a cookie till after I walked Nala.
I walked Nala, ate the cookie, and a million puppy chow pecans while I photographed them using my new LED light I ordered like 3 months ago. Learning new skills is hard. I spent an entire year becoming really comfortable with the nuances of photography in natural light, however, I don’t like to play slave to the five minutes of perfect natural light. A short window that appears from 10 to 1130ish in my house in the window that I use. (Note, I used to take my photos outside but they often appeared blown out and lacked dimension. I now use a window in my house and foam boards, basically the whole shebang. The picture quality is a 100 times better but my new window of perfect light time is much smaller.) Also, today was overcast, that doesn’t happen in Arizona often, but when it does it seems to go on for a solid week. So I resolved to learn to take photos with special lights in pitch black. It’s hard, just as hard as learning to take food pics in the first place. Like learning anything new I assume it will be worth it eventually. Either way I’ve got puppy chow and TWO cookies recipes coming to you this week! Get excited, there are not enough dessert recipes on Hungry Hobby! At least that is what I think, you tell me what you think in the survey above!
Thanks to the treats cooking it was yesterday was a bit more sugar-loaded than usual, plus I ate at weird times and felt kind off. Today I’ve got class all day so I’ll likely be snacking less and back on track in no time. (Sometimes I think it’s easier to get back on track when not working from home.) I’ll just get back on track with a high protein breakfast, a long walk or good run (depending on how sore my shins are) and lots of veggies plus water. Bam!
DON’T FORGET TO TAKE THE SURVEY!
