5:15AM Alarm goes off so I go to grab my basal temperature thermometer (see why I’m taking my temp) to take my temperature and can’t find it. It is lost in the abyss of the covers so I give up and go to the bathroom. Once you get it up the temperature is considered inaccurate. Great, that’s three days in a row I’ve been too lazy to do it. I lay back down for 15 minutes.
5:31AM Alarm goes off again, I get up and get ready to go workout. I make a pre-workout drink which I get from Costco (Essential Aminos). I hate that it has splenda in it, if anyone has a better recommendation please share! I drink it mostly for the caffeine and a little bit for the aminos.
5:42AM I down a half of banana with sun butter. No picture because it’s 5:42AM.
5:45AM I head to TI Fitness for a strength endurance workout. I felt pretty good about it! I kept everything pretty light since my half is coming up on Saturday.
7:05AM head to Safeway to pick up food blog related ingredients.
7:15AM arrive at Safeway
7:26AM leave with dark brown sugar and chicken broth. Make it almost all the way home dreaming of coffee when I realize that I forgot the coffee that I was supposed to get to power me through today was at the store!
7:33AM luckily everything is close by so I head back to Safeway.
7:41AM I go to the coffee/juice section to grab Shamrock Farms cold brew coffee. When they reached out to me about trying their new cold brew I was super excited. Shamrock farms is local to Arizona which is so cool!
You know what else is awesome? Shamrock Farms created its own Cold Brew Coffee and Milk using Colombian coffee beans that are roasted to perfection, then ground and steeped in cold water for more than 10 hours to achieve a rich flavor. This roasting process also provides DOUBLE the caffeine! So this little bottle definitely powered me throughout the whole day!
(In case you are wondering it’s available at Bashas, AJ’s Fine Foods, Safeway, Albertson’s, Sprouts and Quik Trip.)
7:45AM I start drinking my cold brew in the car as I drive home and it’s delicious! I got three original and one vanilla (it also comes in mocha). I don’t really dig super sweet coffee so I was super excited when I took a sip and it had a rich coffee flavor (not acidic, just bold) and wasn’t that sweet. I confirmed with my friends from Shamrock and they said about 1/3 of the sugar in the bottle comes from the natural sugar in milk. The rest of the sugar comes from added cane sugar. It was like going to get a coffee, but without the line. The perfect treat for a Monday!
8:03AM I arrive home and immediatley make breakfast. I haven’t had time to photograph the breakfast quiche I made yet, so I end up eating dinner for breakfast!
I rarely cook for the blog BUT I did a lot of cooking on Monday, I thought of this more as a trial run for Thanksgiving then cooking for the blog. I made two dishes, the Healthy Cornbread Stuffing from yesterday and another secret one I’ll share with you next week!
10:01AM The stuffing was still cooking when I start my call with my new web developer. So far I feel really excited about all the suggestions she has to make Hungry Hobby the best place for all of you! (Full disclosure I’m paying Katy to help me redesign my website. She is not sponsoring this content in any way.)
11:30AM I wrapped up with my developer and had to head out to DMV. Had to get my new wheels all legal and stuff! I took my coffee with me to enjoy the rest in the car!
1:00PM I’m back home and I’m HANGRY. I grab leftover tuna mixed with avocados to pair with a million cherry tomatoes. Then, I straight up ate a turkey dog out the fridge in a napkin. No photograph on that one, just trying to keep it real y’all!
1:13pm I decide to photograph the stuffing even though it isn’t the best time of day to do so. I pray the editing gods are on my side. Side note: Nala is barely interested in food on the black table anymore, she just knows that isn’t for her!
2:17pm I finish photographing and spend the next long while cleaning up my mess.
3:03pm I make a true lemon packet with a dropperful of an adrenal tincture my doctor gave me. Then, I sit down to start this post.
3:21pm Work on articles for Just A Pinch

5:27pm arrive at TI Fitness, get things ready for our healthy challenges meeting and write the weekly nutrition corner email.

7:05pm Meeting is over, I truly look forward to these weekly meetings with our little group. They are the best!
7:21pm arrive home and heat up the exact same meal as for breakfast. I don’t usually have the same meal twice but I wasn’t about to cook a meal.
7:48pm Clean up kitchen, again. I feel like I spend hours a day just cleaning up the kitchen. Somebody haelp me!
8:10pm Head up stairs to work on yesterday’s healthy cornbread post. I don’t usually work this late, but the DMV trip through me off. I won’t complain though!
9:42pm computer off

Oh I wish they sold in other states than AZ, I love cold brew. But it is getting pretty chilly here now. And what a busy day! I usually don’t like eating the same meal twice either, but it usually happens when I don’t feel like cooking or I’m trying to clean out the fridge.
