Hey Friends Happy Tuesday, oh my gosh is it only Tuesday? Yesterday was kind of a long day of nudging along, you know those days when you feel like you don’t get anything done because you keep hitting road blocks? That’s how yesterday felt for me but on the plus side I got a super good workout in! But first, let’s back up to breakfast… I was craving butter coffee… which happens about once or twice a month now a days. I figured it was a good morning for it so I made some!
After the coffee I was craving a Spicy Broccoli Cheddar Egg White quiche but I definitely finished that out so I decided to make a omelet version with spinach instead of broccoli. It came out delicious!
After hitting more roadblocks it was time to take a break and get a workout in! I wanted to get a really good workout in without wasting time driving to the gym and without adding any stress to my shins. I came up with this and I was pretty impressed, I was dripping sweat when I was done even without the high intensity of jumping around!
Link to exercises are below, let me know if you have any questions!
- Deadlift Upright Row Combo
- Plank Row to Shoulder Press (I stepped instead of jumping, alternating the leading foot)
- I ended up alternating between alternating lunches with no weight and contralateral walking lunges with a dumbbell (switching hands each step)
Of course I had to have my salted mocha protein shake post workout….

Then I felt like I needed some veggies so I decided to microwave some butternut squash, it didn’t come out as good as I was imagining but I ate it anyway.
I’m doing a lot of crash studying for my group fitness instructor certification so thats what I spent the afternoon doing. Oh and eating the healthy cookies…
When Mr. Hungry got home I ate a piece or two of cheese and I took the pup on a really long walk while he worked out and the Salmon cooked. Man being at home I only had 2500 steps before I walked the pup, this is gonna be tough to get used to!
I ate like a million of those carrots while I waited for Mr. Hungry to finish working out.
Dessert was more cookies (the unhealthy kind this time…) while I graded lab reports….
As soon as this post publishes I’m off to take pup pup and myself on a run! Hope you have a great day!
Questions of the day:
How many off days do you take?
I take 1-3 depending on my training that week and time allowances. My off days usually consist of a short yoga routine, sauna and/or walking the pup. I think I need to be more consistent about a schedule as I amp up my running. I’m planning on taking a day off before my long runs from now on, and then another day off as I see convenient. Would love suggestions!

Thank you for sharing your low impact workout! I recently suffered from a knee injury so I need to take it easy for a bit while I’m recovering. I think your workout is a great place to start. 🙂
