I love when other bloggers do a wine date or coffee date post updating readers with what’s going on with them. I’ve got a lot of little random things I thought would be good for this type of post so I thought it would be fun to try it out. So…..
If we were meeting up for a glass of wine tonight…
……As you drank your wine and I had water, I’d tell you how ready I am for Sugar Free September to be over. Surprisingly, not because I want to dive into a bowl full of chocolate. Nope, I really just want to have semi healthy things like wine, sun butter, honey whole wheat bagels, and to be able to freely add stevia to whatever I want.
……I’d tell you that I’m really excited and so nervous about pursuing starting my own business (including private counseling) and filing for my LLC.
……I’d definitely ask you if you were going to FNCE (Food and Nutrition Conference and Expo) and make plans to meet up with you if you were.
……I’d tell you about how sad I am that Mr. Hungry’s parents and sister are moving to Northern California. I’d tell you about how I hadn’t faced up to the fact they were moving until the last week or so, and now there is only one week left. They are planning on moving back to Arizona within 5 years, and you never know what life has in store for you, but it’s a change I would skip if I could.
……I’d be honest in saying the first year of marriage so far has been a crazy ride full of way more ups and downs then I could have expected (We bought a house! what?!?!). I’d also tell you that I’ve never been more in love with or more proud of Mr. Hungry.
…..I’d probably tell you about how I am so grateful for my ability to exercise and do most of the activities I love, especially since getting injured back in January. I’d also tell you that my hip/SI injury still frustrates me, particularly because I really love running so much. I would also admit I really want to go back to CrossFit but I’m a bit scared.
So that’s what’s going on me with me! What about you? Grab a glass of wine and chat with me!
Also, today might be National Pancake Day, I’m not entirely sure there seems to be some inconsistencies according.
Either way here are some healthy recipes to help you celebrate:
– Whole Wheat Greek Yogurt Pancakes
– Sweet Potato Pancakes (GF)
– Single Serving High Protein Pumpkin Pancake (GF, Paleo)
– Baked Pumpkin Protein Pancakes (GF, Paleo)

Have a great weekend everyone!

Good luck with starting up your own business! It may be scary, but it’s awesome that you’re taking the steps to make your life into what you want of it! :] You’ll be awesome!
I hope you recover from your injury soon! Those are definitely no fun. :[

Kelli,
I would tell you how proud I am of you and how far you’ve come with your blog, just amazing!
I would, very quietly because I’d be choked up, say that you and Mr. Hungry will be missed most assuredly and very deeply. Yes, life brings changes and it’s the unexpected ones that cause us to grow and trust in HIM. I am but a call away! Have you heard of Skype?!
I would tell you over that tasty glass of wine that you inspire me and that I will finally have the time to make a bunch of your recipes that I just haven’t had time to make.
I’d tell you how fantastic your photos have gotten and the growth I’ve seen in your ‘eye’ as you click the button to capture true love and beauty in your food.
Finally, I would tell you that I love you and am the luckiest mother in law alive to have YOU as my ‘daughter’. I’ll battle anyone on that, just try me you folks out there!
So when this darn No Sweets September is FINALLY over, we will be sharing a bottle of wine together and savoring the fruits of our relationship.
I love you Mrs. Hungry!!
