Family Photos
We had a wonderful family photo shoot with Nerissa! I’m so thankful she was able to squeeze us in so we could get family photos done before the holidays and right before Baby K’s first birthday. The photos turned out even better than I could have ever imagined!
Nerissa also did our newborn photos, she’s amazing.

Hobby Lobby Decorations
I hate spending a ton of money on “home decor.” While I love the way it looks, I just don’t want to spend $40 bucks for ONE decoration. That’s why whenever Hobby Lobby has their 40% of wall decor or seasonal decor sale I STOCK up! I got a ton of decorations for less than $100 bucks.

StitchFix My Items Section
I’m loving this new feature in my Stitchfix account! It’s really awesome to see everything I’ve bought in one place and have the option to order it again. I’ve been averaging keeping one piece per box, which has been fun!
If you still haven’t tried it you can get a $50 credit by using this link! Yes, $50 bucks! Not sure how long that will last (it’s usually $25) so jump on it!

Spaghetti Squash Lady –> Bacon Ranch Casserole
This spaghetti squash made me jump a little the first time I saw it, like “wait what the heck is that?!?!” LOL Got me Mom!
I don’t like my veggies staring at me so I promptly turned her into a chicken bacon ranch spaghetti squash casserole. I simplified the recipe by skipping the shallots, garlic, and baby spinach. It still came out delicious! No photo, night time photos are hard, they look real GROSS.

Beef & Broccoli
I shared making my Paleo Beef & Broccoli Bowls on IG and it seemed like my IG friends really loved the simple recipe idea! (I’m @hungryhobbyRD if you want to follow along and see the play by play of my messy kitchen.)
I got a couple of questions about what kind of meat I used for the recipe. I actually used steak tips from Butcher Box. I’d never heard of “steak tips” before Butcher Box but they are super convenient for this type of meal. I usually only have to cut up a few of the bigger pieces to make the recipe work.

FREE Whole Turkey
Speaking of Butcher Box, I just got word that their Free Whole Turkey for new members has officially launched. Yep, if you sign up now you’ll get a free whole 10-15lb turkey in your first box.
I LOVE their turkeys and actually emailed them to see if I could get the inside scoop on when the turkeys will be available to current members.

So here is the sich. The 5 Free Berry Smoothies offer did so well that they had to pull the offer so they could fulfill the orders they had, crazy right? #smoothiesinthewinter
So, instead, they swapped out an offer to give you $20 bucks off every box for life! If you get collagen, that’s basically FREE collagen for LIFE. Sign up for $20 bucks off every box for life here.
PS If you’re new here (welcome!) and this is your first time hearing about Smoothie Box, you can read my full review here.

Friday Fitness
Recently I’ve been really assessing the need for motivation and to be working instead of working out during naptime. I’m looking into a gym to join that has childcare in December. The thing that sways me from that is, of course, that’s peak flu season. On the other hand, can I/should I keep baby in a bubble his whole life?
Friday (10/10) – Stroller Run – 5 minutes run / 2 minutes walk – I didn’t feel like I needed the rest but I didn’t want week-long pelvic pain like the last time I went on a stroller run. The good news is, no pelvis pain this time so I just need to work up to longer running intervals I guess.
Saturday (10/12) – Lower Body Solution Aaptiv Workout
Sunday (10/13)- The Gun Show Aaptiv Workout
Monday (10/14) – Planned off day
Tuesday (10/15 ) – Unplanned off day – Baby K was awake from 3-6 am, I typically don’t work out if I get less than 6 hours of sleep. I opt to catch up on sleep instead.
Wednesday (10/16) – During naptime -Carry Me, Carry You Aaptiv Workout (Because I missed Tuesday, I did a longer, closer to an hour workout on Wednesday)
Thursday (10/17) – 2.5 Mile Aaptiv Run (on the treadmill during naptime)

I also skip my workout if I haven’t slept enough the night before. I’d rather do too little than too much, and the last thing I want is to push my body too far.
