Guess what!?!? Today I am 29 years young! Â In order to embrace the last of my 20’s I put together a list of 30 things, I want to do before I turn 30! Â Since it’s only one year I skipped the big ticket items and stuck with the little stuff. Â Hopefully posting it here will help me make sure I get the list done!
Before we get to that though, a quick reminder about the reader survey. Â I am seriously IN LOVE with all your responses and appreciate them so much. Â You guys are giving me so many great topic ideas I’m SOOOOOO excited. Â You guys have no idea how much it helps to hear from you so please take a couple minutes to take the survey! Â It’s important, that’s why one lucky winner will get a $100 Amazon gift card!

Now onto the list!
30 Things I Want To Do Before I Turn 30
-
Take a cooking class
Yes I know I have a food blog but there are so many things that intimidate me (it took me 28 years to bake chicken for the first time), I think taking a cooking class would be so much fun.
-
Start incorporating yoga more regularly
I miss yoga, I stopped going and I need to bring it back.
-
Go snow skiing at least once (I’ve never been)
-
Go jet skiing (also never being)
-
Visit at least one new state I haven’t been too
-
Go to a baseball game (last time I went I was 12)
-
Learn to pistol squat
-
Do 5 strict pulls up in a row
-
Perform at a karaoke bar
-
Hike to Havasupai Falls in the Grand Canyon
-
Go white water rafting
-
Unplug for a full day, maybe a week
-
Learn how to shoot a weapon
-
Go to a concert I haven’t been to before
-
Catch a fish
-
Go to the rodeo
Little known fact about me, I freaking love watching the rodeo!
-
Treat myself to a super fancy dining experience
So the fanciest places I’ve ever been was probably in Malibu or in the Bahamas with a friend, but I didn’t pay for those things. Â So treat MYSELF.
-
Start saving for retirement
When you work for yourself this is the last thing you are thinking about. Â You are just trying to stay afloat and on top of the unknown, but now that things are stabilizing it is something I need to start prioritizing.
-
Volunteer for a cause I believe in
-
At minimum start trying to start a family
AKA switch from actively avoid to actively trying ha ha. Â Having a baby before I turn 30 is probably not going to happen, but switching our priorities can. Â Also, it kind of disrupts goal number 25.
-
Go on an all girls trip
I’ve got two bachelorette parties so I’m fairly confident this will happen.
-
Learn how to change a tire
Okay, Mom, you can teach me but like I said… isn’t that what Triple A is for?
-
Let go of the past
Recently I’ve found myself regretting certain things in my past. Â I think as we get older and some time has passed we look back and more easily see different paths we could have taken. Â This year I will learn to let go of that, and let go of grudges from others. Â Did someone say therapy? Why not, it’s probably good to get my head in the game before I turn 30.
-
Attend an unusual and creative performance
-
Get Abs I’m Proud Of
Truth is, my abs are the area of my body I’ve ALWAYS been so self-conscious of. Â Even as a super active cheerleader/dancer in high school my abs were not shaped to be flat, it is what it is. Â I know they will never be flat I’m just not genetically shaped like that but prior to goal 20, I’d like to get some serious definition going on there. Â I’m already seeing a ton of progress doing BBG, so that’s exciting!
-
Face a fear
I think I’m going to have to kill a scorpion
-
Do a 30-day challenge.
Probably not Whole 30, but never say never. Â The idea is to push my limits and remind myself what the power of habit! Maybe a yoga challenge?
-
Go on a hot air balloon ride.
-
Continue to build Hungry Hobby
I want to continue to put into Hungry Hobby the same energy and passion I put in when I started building it on a semi-full-time basis last year.
-
Take Care of My Skin /Appearance
I eat and workout regularly, but I don’t do so good on the lotion/moisturizing front. Â I need to find someone to wax my eyebrows. Â I work from home so it’s easy to hide out except for one day a week when I jump on an FB life. Â I really liked it last year when I was doing more fashion stuff, I need to get back to that. Â I know I feel really good when I dress up every once in a while!
29 Things I’m So Happy IÂ Did In My Twenties So Far:
When I was reading the list of things to do before I was 30 I realized that I had done a lot of the suggestions, which made me really happy. Â Also, made it harder to come up with things to do before I was 30! Â I thought I’d share some of the things I’m most proud of.
