Hi, friends! Who’s ready for another Month? July is my favorite month of the year, my birthday, America’s birthday, and monsoon weather begins! I had a great birthday yesterday, and I’m planning on recapping it and fourth of July weekend on Monday, so I’ll save my recap stuff for then. Overall, it was a great day filled with presents, good food, and margaritas!
Today I’m going to get my hair done. It’s a “risk” I avoided for a long time because luckily the way Brad does my hair, I can go a long time between appointments, but not indefinitely haha. Brad, recently moved studios so he is now in a private studio (so no sitting with a billion other people in the studio getting your hair done) and he follows all CDC recommendations. Everyone wears a mask and he has you text from your car when you get there, so you wait in your car. I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a million times, I never loved my hair until Brad started doing it. If you are in Phoenix or the East Valley check out his IG page and shoot him a DM for an appointment. Although I don’t want you to because he’s already booked out almost a month at this point. (Or shoot me an email and I’ll give you his phone number, like me, he uses his personal cell phone for clients so I don’t want to plaster the number all over the internet.)
Other than getting my hair done, I’m hoping to finally wrap up my special recipe project this weekend and of course, do some swimming with little man! What are you doing this weekend? I’ll be praying for everyone to have a safe and happy holiday. 🙂

Skinnytaste Air Fryer
After I returned my first Air Fryer (Cosori – highly recommend not ordering that one) I realized I also returned the recipe book that came with it. I didn’ realize how much I relied on the recipe book for quick reference in cook times and to get ideas for cooking different things in it. So, I ordered this Air Fryer Cookbook by Skinnytaste. It has the cooking reference times in the front and lots of delicious looking creative recipes I can’t wait to try!
- Amazon Protein Powder
I’m not sure if I’ve shared this yet, sorry if it’s a repeat. But, ever since Formulx went out of business I’ve been looking for a great protein powder replacement. We’ve tried both the vanilla and chocolate whey protein flavors from Amazon, and it’s currently our go-to. (We also still drink a ton of Costco pre-made Orgain protein shakes.) I use it to bake with and I like it because it’s not loaded with sugar alcohols or other unnecessary ingredients.

What day is your bday? I’m a July bday (13th) too … but I actually don’t love the month of July. I personally detest the heat. I actually spend most of June, July, and August praying for it to be Sept, Oct so that we can start wearing long sleeves and sweaters again. What did you / will you do to celebrate your big day this year??

I just posted a birthday recap! We didn’t do much though! I used to hate the heat too, but for some reason now it doesn’t bother me!
