Happy Friday! I’m sharing a new recipe from my book on Insta this weekend! Make sure to vote which recipe you want to see in the poll on my Insta Stories!
How was your week, friends? Mine was pretty good. I mean, this happened…. (for those of you reading in email click over to the blog to see the video, I promise it’s worth it.)
So that has been so much fun! I can’t believe I almost have a toddler!
In other news, poor Nala gets checked out tomorrow and hopefully, the cone removed. We had to lock her in the gym because the cone is so dangerous. She whips it around runs into things, knocks over, and doesn’t realize it could hurt the baby. She is going stir crazy too without any walks.
It’s all worth it, though! She is 100% cancer-free! The vet was able to get clear margins and thinks that the tumor was not aggressive. I’ll tell you though, my dog getting cancer has really made me assess a few things in my life I previously chose not to worry about such as, beauty products (please no one message me about beauty counter, thank you though) harsh cleaning supplies, organic vs. non-organic foods, and our use of plastic.
I know that maybe it would have happened, either way, short hair breeds are prone to mast cell tumors, but, it’s just made me think and want to take steps to live a little cleaner (vs. just focusing on eating clean.) That’s it for me. The rest is the typical food, fitness, and favorites Friday stuff! See you on Monday!
Food
Meal plan friends your meal plan is in your inbox! <3
This is the second week we’ve tried out Sun Basket. The first week I ordered three separate meals which felt like way too much cooking for me. (Way more than I even put on our meal plans if you can see above.) So this week I planned two meals with two servings each.
We had the first one on Wednesday, a chicken curry with udon noodles. So delicious! As I said I’ll be posting a full review of trying out their service in a few weeks, but if you want to try it, you can get $25 off your first THREE orders using this link.
This is your last chance to get FREE ground beef for life with Butcher Box using this HH exclusive link. Use it to make the Healthy Hamburger Soup I posted on Wednesday! (Also on this weeks WTE? Meal Plan!) Never heard of Butcher Box? Read about it here.
This is also your LAST chance to get a free Tumblr and $20 off with Smoothie Box. I shared a complete review of Smoothie Box in this post. I shared me making my smoothie yesterday morning, and you guys cracked me up because I got a TON of messages about the grapple. Yes, it’s incredible.
Work snacks! I don’t have a ton of time in between teaching my lectures and lab classes, so I’ve been relying on all the snacks. Favorites are: larabars, orgain protein shakes plant-based (I get them from Costco, see my Costco shopping list here), RX bars, RX nut butter, and I made my five-ingredient pumpkin seed bars!

I love this red polka dot shirt in my latest Stitch Fix box. I’ve been averaging about one win per box. This is 100% fine with me because it’s enough to make me feel good about getting something new, without feeling guilty about overspending. (Get a Free $25 Credit in your first box here.)
PS did you catch my post on the gram about cooking? I’d love to hear what you think!
