Tuesday nights advent gifts were a lot of fun! Paul got me white chocolate truffles and the cutest little stuffed reindeer I ever saw. His name is “Alpine” and apparently his birthday is Dec. 21st, I think I’ll bake him something 😉 Beanie babies, doesn’t that take you back? I got Paul a joke gift of a pedi-egg (that mans feet are in need of help) and his favorite reeses Christmas trees.
I can’t get over how adorable this is, he is like Puss in Boots only cuter!
Yesterday morning was an odd morning, I went to crossfit at 530AM since I had a doctors appointment later in the morning than I usually leave for work.
Now we know I didn’t even get anywhere close to that, I did all sets of snatches with just a 25 pound bar to practice form since it was my first time doing them. I finished a total of 90 burpees and 63 snatches in the 17 minutes. After I got ready, I started my work day my favorite way with some green juice.
Afterwards, I made a flour-less pancake with 1 egg, 1/3 cup egg whites, 1 mashed banana, stevia, and cinnamon. I topped it with crunchy peanut butter, it was so delicious and filling!
After my doctor’s appointment I headed into work. At lunchtime we had a baby shower for a staff member so I ate there. I ate the lettuce, tomato, turkey and cheese out of the 3 slices of the sandwich (like a true weirdo dietitian) and a whole wheat cranberry pumpkin muffin that I made for the occasion.
When I got home we needed to head out the door quickly so that we could go to Phoenix Zoo Lights with Paul’s Coworkers. I had a raspberry nonfat greek yogurt topped with 1/2 banana and trail mix.
Not only did we get to go to Zoo Lights but we got “wear red and green” so we attempted at that too…
Paul really enjoyed his hot chocolate and churros!
I really wanted kettle corn but I couldn’t bring myself to pay 8 dollars for something I know took them 25 cents to make. Don’t know where that cheap part of me came from because I definitely overpaid for a phone charger at Walgreens yesterday. I did help Paul finish his hot chocolate though, it was super duper sweet like drinking liquid chocolate. When I got home I was pretty hungry so I had a bowl (and a half) of cinnamon puffins with extra cinnamon and unsweetened vanilla almond milk, better than eight dollar kettle corn!
Question of the Day:
What will you overpay for? What will you NOT overpay for?
What is your favorite over priced splurge (diet and wallet wise) at a show/sporting event/fair etc?
Nachos with Jalapeno’s and Beer… gets me every time.
What was your favorite beanie baby?

Fun! Love Zoo Lights. My favorite beanie baby is the very first one I ever got as a kid, a little white kitty (I didn’t collect but had just a few).
