Morning Workout and Smoothie
Was anyone else feeling the lack of motivation this morning to work out that we were feeling? I just wanted to get out to the pool and start the summertime festivities. Somehow Paul made it to the gym and I made it through a 25 minute HIIT (60 seconds high intensity/60 seconds easy) Elliptical workout and 2 rounds of Gina’s Workout #3 from Summer Shape Up 2013. The Elliptical at Paul’s parents house is one of those fancy ones that pedal in a circular motion so it was super hard, I did 1.05 miles in 25 minutes.
Once I got done I was starving because it was already 11am so I whipped up a smoothie! It was so refreshing and packed an antioxidant punch (lot’s of vitamin A, C & E). I liked that I started my day with so many antioxidants to counteract the effects that the sun and a few drinks will have the rest of the day. 🙂 I was so delicious, Paul even had some too! (Although I might have lied and told him there were no carrots in it to get him to try it! he he I know… muah hahahahahahaha)
– 6 to 8 baby carrots
– 3/4 cup frozen tropical fruit mix
– 1 frozen banana
– 3/4 scoop vanilla protein powder (I used designer whey)
– 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
– 1 tbsp sunflower seed butter
The family just finished a movie and everyone is headed outside to start the day and I’m off to go join them! Everyone have a safe and fun day!
I GOT THIS IN MY EMAIL FROM ZIPLIST AND I THOUGHT I SHOULD SHARE IT:
