Hi friends, how is your day going? I planned to get up and do some strength training before work but at 4am it just wasn’t going to happen. I’ve been so exhausted and jet lagged the last two days from our trip to Texas I decided my body actually needed sleep. I’m not the type of person that frequently falls asleep at the computer like I’ve done the last two nights in a row. Notice any spelling mistakes (more than usual) or in-cohearant posts recently? So this morning I snoozed an extra hour and a half, then headed to work feeling 100 times better. I left early so I had extra time to stop by Einstein’s for a Vanilla Hazelnut coffee… my favorite! Like usual, I ate breakfast when I got to work and started in on checking email.. On the menu, overnight oats!
– 1/2 cup oats
– 1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
– 1/2 scoop Vanilla Formulx Recovery Protein Powder (<—affiliate link)
– 1 tsp of chia seeds
– topped with almond butter and blueberries
I forgot how filling oats are for breakfast. I’m obsessing. Can’t wait till Sugar Free September is over so I can put a bunch of sun butter in them again.
During lunch I headed to the gym for some light stress relieving walking time. Feel so much better after that!
I had just enough time to gobble down some lunch and type this post before my lunch is over! I brought a chicken salad with three pieces of shredded chicken, shredded organic grassfed New Zealand cheddar, and salsa as dressing. I meant to bring some vegetable chips to go with it but apparently I forgot them. Whomp whomp, I’ve got some carrots and laughing cow wedges and I’m not that hungry so it will be fine!
I know that I put up Last Week’s Eats this morning, but I’m having fun with these daily more personable posts so I’m rolling with it. I mean, how else would you guys have found out about my obsession with bananas and nut butter? Can’t wait to get a strength session and swim in tonight, another season of Once Upon a Time would be fantastic as well!
Oats or Eggs? Which is more filling to you?
Sometimes I feel like eggs are the most filling best way to start my day, but lately the oats have been keeping me full till lunch! One thing I know is that I have to have both every single week!
